Parkwood Pool was built by the residents of Woodland Heights neighborhood in 1963 to provide a gathering place for the community and fun during the summer.  Parkwood is one of the oldest pools in the city and members enjoy its unique features:

 

• 12-ft. deep end

• full-size diving board

• baby pool for children 5 and under

• lifeguards on deck during operating hours

• covered picnic area 

• restrooms with showers

• poolside basketball goal

• party / event rental

• summer swim team

 

Parkwood members co-own the pool by

contributing equally to the expenses and upkeep

of the pool and facilities.  Members pay a yearly

fee for maintenance and operation expenses,

and Parkwood families take turns sharing duties. 

Membership is open to Spartanburg County residents willing to

abide by Parkwood's rules, completion of application, and payment
